We offer a variety of services for the complete maintenance of lawns, including regular cutting and trimmer, aeration, dethatching, and fertilizing. We also provide treatment and repair for lawns damaged by grubs and poor weather conditions.
Seeding, Over-Seeding, & Sod
We have a full line of equipment capable of handling complete yard seeding. We also offer spot seeding for small areas, and over seeding for existing lawns.
The best time for seeding is in late summer. Seeding may be done in spring, but, due to our short springs, where temperatures fluctuate from sub 0°c to 25°c, there is a narrow window of opportunity for good germination. Grass likes consistent weather, with warm days and cool nights, and ample moisture.
And if you prefer an "instant" lawn, we also install sod. Sod can be installed any time from spring through fall; however it is best to avoid the hottest, driest part of the season. Sod must be watered regularly until it is firmly rooted.
Spring & Fall Clean-ups
Spring and Fall clean-ups can include removal of fallen leaves and debris, such as twigs and branches from your lawn. We also offer power-brooming services to remove gravel which may have been deposited on your lawn by snow plows during the winter.
Dethatching and aeration remove the layers of spent grass which have built up over time, and inject oxygen into the soil, to allow for stronger sod growth.
Garden Tilling
For those who like to grow their own vegetables, we till gardens. Tilling can be done once the ground is dry enough. Tilling makes the soil more arable, promoting vigorous plant growth.
Bush Hogging
Have a field of long grasses you want cleared? We do bush hogging!
Trees
It is important to trim trees, to promote health, and stimulate new growth. We trim both small and large trees. Spring and Fall are the best times to trim trees.
Have a tree which needs to be removed? We fell trees, tall and small!
We also do site clearing.
Chipping of small and medium branches. We can dispose of the resulting mulch for you, or you may retain it for gardening purposes, etc.
After the tree has been removed, you may also wish to have the remaining stump removed.
Hedges & Shrubs
Shrubs and hedges require trimming to keep them healthy, and under control. We offer complete pruning of shrubs and hedges; generally, the best time for this is in July and August.
For flowering shrubs - and trees - which bloom in spring, it is important not to trim them in either spring or fall, as doing so will remove the flower buds. Spring bloomers - such as Forsythia - should be trimmed just after blooming has finished.
We also plant shrubs and hedges - or remove them.
Deliveries
We offer small load deliveries of materials such as: soil, sand, mulch, gravel, and river stone. Prices for delivery vary according to location
Excavations
Equipment can be rented, with an operator, by the hour, or the day. Please contact us for further information.
With the mini excavator, we do excavations around foundations for repairs and upgrades; digging of small ditches and trenches.
